Having faced 52 Teams from Various Universities in Indonesia, IPB XTreme Won 3rd Place
Heated with a competitive spirit, IPB Esport once again have its name carved in the Valorant branch of the National University Esports League, 26/3. The IPB XTreme team succeeded in achieving achievements after facing 52 teams from various universities. The IPB XTreme team won 3rd place in the Bronze Match IEL Campus Festival against Fortius Top G from Multimedia Nusantara University (UMN) with a score of 2-1.
The IPB XTreme team led by Fajar Haryo Mahesa (Vocational School-57) consisted of four other members namely Emyr Aurelio Matra (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences/FMIPA-54) and Daffa Wicaksono (FMIPA-54), Althrof Atwutsani (Business School-57), as well as Azra Sosda Asadel (Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science-59).
“We didn't expect to win 3rd place in a competition among national universities whose opponents could not be underestimated. Of course are proud to be able to bring the name of IPB University to the national level. However, we are not satisfied with the results," Emyr said.
The bronze match was conducted using the best of 3 system. Emyr said, at first the IPB XTreme team almost lost badly. “However, we could continue to support each other. Even though the situation had been quite tense, in the end we were able to turn things around,” he said.
Dr Beginer Subhan as the supervisor of IPB Esport revealed, "It is quite encouraging to hear that IPB University students are once again able to make achievements in their aptitutes. Congratulations to the team." He hoped that the momentum could motivate IPB University students to continue to be consistent, passionate and persistent in achieving other achievements.
Praise was also conveyed by Dr Ujang Suwarna as Director of Student Affairs at IPB University. He appreciated the news of the victory. "We congratulate you and hope that you will continue to be consistent in achieving in this field. We are sure that the potential of IPB University students will be able to carve achievements in their aptitutes, for the campus and for Indonesia," he said.
"In the future we will develop more and be better prepared for other prestigious tournaments," said Fajar, the captain of the IPB XTreme team. That is the firmness of commitment and heat of enthusiasm of the IPB XTreme team for taking up challenges and competitions.
This victory also supports IPB University students to continue to be enthusiastic and consistent in producing achievements in future competitive events.
“This victory is certainly not the endgame for our competitive souls. This score will be a motivational factor to further develop, better prepare and train more actively so that we can bring home other and better achievements for IPB University in the future," added Kayla Rahmi Rakanarayi, Head of the IPB Esport Valorant Division.
