IPB University KKN-T Students Report the Results of their Work Program in Cisarua District


 The IPB University Real-Thematic Work Lecture Program (KKN-T) located in Cisarua District, West Bandung Regency has been running since June.  Now, it's time for them to report the results of their work program during their service there.

The second workshop was held at the Cisarua District Office, West Bandung Regency.  This event was attended by 40 KKN-T students from Tugumukti Village, Kertawangi Village, Pasirhalang Village and Pasirlangu Village recently.

On that occasion, representatives of IPB University KKN-T students explained the results of the work programs that had been implemented.  The work program is based on the results of surveys and research that has been carried out by each group in each village.

“Each village has different potentials and problems.  So that the work program carried out by each group of students adapts to the conditions of each village," said Nadya Zahra Rahmadilla, a student of KKN-T IPB University.

Not only focusing on agriculture, the KKN-T program is also engaged in education, health, environment, animal husbandry to the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).  Nadya hopes that these various programs can provide benefits for the village community.

The event was also attended by Field Supervisors from IPB University, Regional Apparatuses of West Bandung Regency including the Education Office, Environment Service, Health Office, Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Service, Representative of the Head of the Development Planning Agency, Regional Research and Development, Cisarua District Head  and village heads.

Secretary of the Department of the Environment, Dian K, thanks a lot to IPB University students, especially with the waste sorting program.

Representative of the Health Service, Pipit Herawati added, the level of public awareness of waste management is still very low.  Therefore, there needs to be sensitivity from the community to care about waste management, including MSMEs.

On the other hand, Wewen Surwenda from the KUKM Service stated that other problems in the field are related to human resources, capital and business digitization.  It was also greatly helped by the presence of students in the education and training process for business actors.

"It is better for young people to play a role in the MSME marketing system because young people are close to the digital world," She said.

Meanwhile, a representative from the Regional Research and Development Agency (Bapelitbangda), Dini Herriani, expressed satisfaction with the KKN-T program for IPB University students.  He hopes that the Student Teaching program can be a motivation for the community to guide village children to continue their education to a higher level of education.

Fitta Setiajiati, SHut, MSi as the field supervisor as well as the Regional Coordinator of the Cisarua District said, "It is hoped that the end of KKN-T activities in Cisarua District can be a form of enthusiasm for students to continue service activities," She concluded.  (*/Rz) (IAAS/FJN)
