Dr Sofyan Sjaf Offers IPB University Precision Village Data at the Pancasila Socialization Event and National Dialogue


Dr Sofyan Sjaf, the Initiator of the Precision Village Data (DDP) IPB University attended the Socialization of Pancasila and the National Dialogue on the Implementation of the Law on the National Science and Technology System: Strengthening National Universities Towards a Golden Indonesia, located at the Widyaloka Building, Universitas Brawijaya, Malang, (26/7). In this activity, he emphasized that the country's development goals, namely the welfare and intellectual life of the nation, must be supported by accurate and precise data.

"Data democratization must be carried out on a bottom-up basis, starting from the village so that there is no pseudo data that affects pseudo development," he said. He offers the concept of Precision Village Data that is able to complement the country's needs for accurate and precise data.

Besides Dr. Sofyan, there was also a member of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI), Rieke Diah Pitaloka. He conveyed that the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) in an integrated development policy from the national, provincial, district, sub-district and village levels needed to be carried out in a planned manner.

Meanwhile, Vice Head of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP), Dr. Karjono, conveyed the importance of higher education as a place to strengthen and defend state ideology, philosophy and the Unitary Republic of Indonesia. Deputy for Policy Research and Innovation, National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Dr. Boediastoeti Ontowirjo emphasized that the Law on the National System of Science and Technology (IPTEK) is the basis for formulating development policies, the basis for formulating policies that are solution to development problems. "So that the central and regional governments can develop policy instruments, the basis for formulating development policies," he added. (**/Zul)
