IPB University Establishes Licensing Cooperation with 4 Industrial Partners

IPB University through the Institution for Science Technology Park (LKST) collaborated with four industrial partners for the commercialization of innovation. The four industrial partners are PT Bio Cycle Indo, PT Kokikit Indonesia Teknologi, PT Rimbun Ardya Nusa, and PT Mastero Circle Indonesia.

The signing of this innovation license collaboration was carried out by the Vice Rector for Innovation and Business / Head of the Institution for Science Technology Park (LKST) IPB University, Prof. Erika B. Laconi and four directors from industrial partners, (1/4). According to Prof. Erika, this collaboration is to commercialize the innovations of Milk Replacer, Instant Rice, KASIMADU and Pekarangan Simadu and the Seeds of the Cowpea Varieties belonging to IPB University.

"We know that IPB University has many innovations. The awards obtained from this innovation are quite a lot, but it is our task together to bring this innovation so that it can benefit the community socially and economically," she said.

Furthermore, she said, industry partners and innovators have met their soul mates. Today is the goal for all IPB University innovations. Our joint task is to bring innovation to society both socially and economically. The triple helix occurs, the work of lecturers makes career paths increase and provides benefits to the community.

She hopes that new innovations that develop later can meet the needs of the community. Industry can produce innovations made by IPB University innovators.

“As is the case now. This is the impact of the Matching Fund Program (Kedai Reka) in 2021," she explained. Present in this collaboration were Director of PT Bio Cycle Indo Budi Tanaka, President Director of PT Kokikit Indonesia Teknologi Andry Suhaili, Director of CV Rimbun Ardya Nusa Amarizni Mosyaftiani, and Director of PT Mastero Circle Indonesia M Helmy Rizani Rifai.

Also present were IPB University innovators, including Prof. Dewi Apri Astuti, Prof. M. Syukur represented by Zulfikar, Dr. Tjahja Muhandri and Dr. Kaswanto as well as leaders under the coordination of LKST.

Meanwhile, M Helmy Rizani Rifai, Director of PT Mastero Circle Indonesia said that this was an achievement and pride for them. "Because of Prof. Syukur's trust, we can work together. This cowpea variety is a substitute choice for tempe and tofu raw materials. We are optimistic about the enthusiasm and enthusiasm of IPB University alumni. We can realize all of our expectations, not only cowpea production. but for other derivatives. Our hope is not only a discourse but there are results, it can even be exported,” he said.

The same thing was conveyed by Amarizni Mosyafriani, Director of PT Rimbun Ardya Nusa. She welcomed the desire of Dr Kaswanto (an innovator of IPB University) to realize her mission. "Thank you for trusting us to cooperate further on KASIMADU. We hope that the products that have been collaborated will have a wider impact on the community. Not only a broad market but a positive impact on education about the importance of a productive yard," she said.

As the inventor's representative, Prof. Dewi Apri Astuti expressed his gratitude to LKST IPB University for overseeing the Milk Replacer innovation collaboration with PT Biocycle Indo for export maggot production. "We and our partners produce and launch this product at the market level and hopefully it will be useful for the wider community for Black Soldier Fly-based functional feed," she said.
