IPB University Deployed Students to Carry Out Thematic-KKN

IPB University again deployed its students to carry out the Thematic Student Community Service (KKNT). This thematic KKN has the theme "Optimizing the Utilization of Regional Resources and Community Empowerment through Techno Socio Entrepreneurship to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) during the COVID-19 Pandemic."

The Rector of IPB University, Professor Arif Satria in his speech, said that KKNT is an important activity for students. This activity is not only to train soft skills in communicating and collaborating with the community but also to inspire the community.

“Hopefully with this KKNT, our social sensitivity will increase and we will know more about the problems in the field. Because our knowledge in the field is very important to be able to provide solutions to existing problems, "explained Prof. Arif Satria.

He hopes that students who take part in the KKNT can learn a lot of lessons. According to him, it all depends on the sincerity of the heart.

“Wherever the KKNT is carried out, if we have positive thinking then we will be able to take lessons and benefit from this activity. If we love what we do it will make us happy, but if it compels us then we will get nothing. Hopefully with this KKN we can get to know our environment as well as learn from the community," he said.

Dr. Ernan Rustiadi, as Head of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) IPB University conveyed, the concept of implementing the KKNT was carried out with a limited face-to-face activity method by following local protocols. "The implementation of the KKN-T will be held from December 20th, 2021 to January 31st, 2022. There are 12 groups that will be distributed in 4 regencies with details of location, Bogor City, Depok City, Bogor Regency, to Malaysia," he explained. (SMH) (IAAS/ATS)
