IPB University Rose to 511+ in the World in QS World University Rankings 2022


After a consistent rise, IPB University has now been ranked 511-520 in the QS World University Rankings released in June 8th, 2021. IPB University was previously ranked 531-540 by the highly referenced global ranking system for higher education institutions. The ranking system is often the main reference for higher education institution rankings in the world, including Indonesian universities.

In response to this news, IPB University’s Rector, Prof Arif Satria, expressed his gratitude towards IPB University academia and valuable partners who have contributed towards improving IPB University’s performance.  Responding the consistent upward trend of IPB University’s ranking in QS WUR, Prof Arif is committed to bring the institution towards a better position. Starting from the effort to increase the number of international students, research, publications and citations, internationalization of the academic system, and building a global reputation. Prof Arif expressed his hopes for IPB University to place in the Top 400 of the best world universities in the coming years. The release of the latest QS WUR has also solidified IPB University’s position in the global community of higher education institutions. Previously, IPB University has made the Top 62 list in QS WUR by Subject on Agriculture and Forestry 2021 and had even placed 1st in ASEAN for the subject. In addition, IPB University also places 118th in QS Asia Rankings 2021, as well as 101-200 according to the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2021. With this new acknowledgement, IPB University welcomes new collaborations and partnerships in various subjects to bring mutual benefits and create far-reaching global impacts.
