IPB University Student Team Wins 1st Place in the Brightcube Program, Business Incubator in Entrepreneurship

The Department of Management, Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) IPB University in collaboration with PT Teman Muda Berkarya and LRT City Sentul held the Brightcube Sandbox for University Student 2021, a business incubator program in the field of entrepreneurship. This activity, which was specially designed for students from various campuses in the city of Bogor, funded the nine best businesses out of 64 successfully selected proposals.

 "This program was initiated to provide benefits and business experience for students in the real world. Students are forced to grow in an incubator designed for six weeks with a variety of outstanding mentors who will help them accelerate quickly in their business. This is in accordance with the Brightcube Program motto "Fail Fast Grow Faster". From 64 proposals, we selected the best 23. So, of the 23 proposals, there are nine proposals or teams that we fund. They are four teams from the FnB (food n Beverages) category and five businesses from the non-FnB category, "said CEO of PT Teman Muda Berkarya, Arman Masagung.

According to him, the selected students and teams get benefits in the form of business investment, co-working space, co living and Soho as business places that can be used for six weeks of program implementation.

"A part from that the most important thing is getting business mentoring from practitioners and academics who are experts in their fields such as Gojek, PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk, Bank Permata, Tech in Asia Singapore, Kompas TV, Lazada, Gobi Venture Capital Singapore, Indosat and so on," he added.

The Brightcube program is also in line with the implementation of the Merdeka Learning Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program where these students will get a certificate of recognition from activities that are carried out the equivalent of 13 Semester Credit Units (SKS).

"The hope in the future is that more and more enthusiastic and creative young people can contribute to increasing the number of national entrepreneurs," said Lindawati Kartika, one of the judges from the Brightcube program representative of IPB University.

The Brightcube program decided there were three best teams. Namely 1st place is the Campus Vendor Team from IPB University, 2nd place is the Kwans Express Team and 3rd Winner is the Kopistasi Team from Trisakti University. In addition, there were also awards for the most active founders, namely Aditya Erlangga, M Nandi Wardhana Adhi and Rizky Julianto, all of them from IPB University.

The closing of the program as well as the awarding was also attended by the Director of Student Affairs and Career Development of IPB University, Dr. Alim Setiawan, Chair of the Management Department, Dr. Wita Juwita Ermawati, lecturers from representatives of nine selected teams and practitioners online and offline at LRT City Sentul with still prioritizes health protocols.
