Ravica Efendi, Student of Sukabumi Vocational School Won 1st Esl International Photo Competition
Ravica Efendi, Student of IPB University from The Study Program of Production Technology and Aquaculture Management (IKN), Sukabumi Class Vocational School, was selected as the 1st Winner at the ESL International Photo Competition themed Reducing Carbon Footprint In New Normal Era. This competition was held in conjunction with the English Second Language (ESL) International Online Summer Course Reducing Carbon Footprints: From Individual to Global Actions organized by the Department of Resource and Environmental Economics, Faculty of Economics and Management (ESL-FEM) IPB University.
ESL International Photo Competition is an international photography competition conducted individually or in groups and open to the public. The competition was attended by 149 participants from 14 different countries. "This competition is part of the summer course that I participated in. As with most summer courses, the organizers hold international competitions. The resolution of the photos I produce reaches 2160 pixels and in accordance with the provisions of the race must be at least 1080 pixels. It is also due to the method of shooting. I made a portrait so that the photo focuses on the object that becomes the description material, namely plants. The photos and descriptions I include fit the theme," she said.
Before entering the race, Ravica made preparations by improving good photo editing skills and critical thinking in the preparation and explanation of photo descriptions. In addition, Ravica also conducts intensive photo editing (for two days), reads and summarizes journals related to reducing carbon footprint and is consistent in running summer courses.
"My message to young generation, do not give up before trying. Because by trying, we will be met with new challenges and experiences that will become a source of learning in the future," she added. (IAAS/NAS)
