IPB University's Department of Resource and Environmental Economics Trains Pasarean Village Women How to Manage Money
Department of Resource and Environmental Economics (ESL), Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) IPB University, in collaboration with PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (SMI) to train small and micro business actors in Pasarean Village, Pamijahan Bogor on financial management, (22/8). This financial management training presented Hastuti, SP, MSi, a lecturer at IPB University from the ESL Department.
According to her, the purpose of accounting in a business is to find out the financial condition of the business that is being carried out and to prevent the business from going bankrupt or losing money. The characteristics of entrepreneurs who have an entrepreneurial spirit include courage, high enthusiasm, good analytical power, not consumptive behavior, making and implementing decisions, and having a great dedication to their business.
"In financial management, several factors need to be considered. Those are separating business money and personal money, keeping records, using the first in first out (FIFO) system, meaning that the first product purchased is the first product to be sold. Minimize accounts receivable and avoid piling up goods," she explained.
The training, which was attended by women from Pasarean Village, was enthusiastic about the training, they gained new knowledge in the management of business finances that were being carried out. (IAAS/YN)
