UTBK Center of IPB University Serves 3803 Participants of Wave 2 Exam, COVID-19 Protocol Is Guarded Tightly
After on July 5-14 2020 Computer-Based Writing Examination (UTBK) Wave 1 at the UTBK IPB University Center, from today (July 20) to July 25, 2020 the second UTBK will be held in Wave 2. If at Wave 1 the test locations are spread over 19 points in the Regency and the City of Bogor, for the implementation of the 2nd wave of exams all participants were centered on the Dramaga IPB campus. As many as 3803 participants from several regions outside Bogor will take the 2nd test. Each day the test is divided into two sessions, the morning session at 8.15-11.15 and the afternoon session at 13.15-16.15.
Health protocols for both wave 1 and wave 2 are carried out strictly considering the tests are still in a COVID-19 pandemic. Rector of IPB University, Prof. Dr. Arif Satria hoped that the 2nd wave UTBK could run smoothly until the last day of implementation. "Alhamdulillah, we have conducted UTBK wave 1 smoothly, in an orderly and safe manner. We expect the same thing with the second wave test," he said.
The application of health protocols during the implementation of the UTBK at IPB University was carried out since the test takers entered the test location. Test participants are required to wear a mask from home. Then wear a face shield before entering the test location and keep doing physical distancing. Test participants are also encouraged to wear gloves and keep wearing a face shield during the test.
The UTBK IPB University Center also provides plastic gloves to be distributed to the participants. In addition, participants are also required to go directly to their homes after taking the test. A number of medical and paramedical staff coordinated by IPB University in collaboration with hospitals were also alerted at the test location. "This health protocol was informed to participants in the days before the test," said Dr. Drajat Martianto, Vice Chancellor for Education and Student Affairs of IPB University who is also the Head of the UTBK IPB University Center.
As a follow up to the West Java Provincial Government Recommendations regarding the implementation of the UTBK in Bogor where the Provincial COVID Handling Acceleration Task Force in collaboration with the COVID-19 Handling Acceleration Task Force in Bogor Regency and Bogor City has conducted monitoring and random sampling for rapid tests for examinees and officers on July 7, 2020, during the UTBK wave 1. During the test, the results showed that all samples were not reactive. Planned on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 Acting Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture, Prof. Nizam will visit the Dramaga IPB campus to witness firsthand the atmosphere of the implementation of the 2nd wave of UTBK.
