BEM KM IPB University Invites Students to Stay Healthy at Home with a Sports Talk Show


Student Executive Board (BEM) Student Family (KM) IPB University, invites students to always maintain their health through Inspirational Sports Talk Show. The activity initiated by the Ministry of Appreciation and Sports (Apro) BEM KM IPB University by talking about productive and beneficial activities that can be done during the COVID-19 outbreak and #Dirumahaja. The talk show has been held 5 sessions every week through Instagram Live on BEM KM IPB social media account @bemkmipb and also Ministry of Appreciation and Sports @bemkmipn_apro.

A total of more than 2.328 viewers from among students and public have joined the talk show. Theme presented in the talk show varied with current issues, ranging from news about IPB Student Olympiad (OMI) 2020 that is currently postponed due to the pandemic, Tips on Healthy Life from IPB Athlete that can be done at home #Dirumahaja, Challenge Your Self, also How to be Productive, to Sports Tips on Maintaining Health and Productivity for Facing Covid-19 Pandemic.

The Inspirational Sport Talk Show invited various speakers from the scope of IPB Campus who played roles in sports such as the Chairman of IPB Student Olympiad (OMI) 2020, Basketball, Volleyball, Football Student Activity Unit (UKM), Tapak Suci Community, Badminton, IPB Runner, and also collaborating with BEMs from Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Human Ecology, and General Competency Education Program (PPKU). Not only that, Ministry of Appreciation and Sports (Apro) also invited one of the athletes namely Berllian Marsheilla who is a Volleyball Athlete and Influencer.

In the talk show, Berllian as an athlete expressed her disappointment because of the effect of the pandemic. “We must continue to follow the government’s recommendations, for the common good and safety,”she said. During this pandemic, there are lots that can be done such as exploring hidden talent, for example cooking with family. Berllian also recommends doing activities that are not boring, for example by accessing various educative content, maintaining physical fitness by doing light exercise in the morning and evening.
