Anticipating COVID-19, IPB University Distributed Hand Sanitizers and Disinfecting Spray
In order to prevent the spread of the Corona virus in the campus environment, IPB University through the Covid-19 Crisis Center team distributed hand sanitizers to all faculties, departments and other work units. The distribution was carried out centrally in the Andi Hakim Nasution Building, Dramaga Campus of IPB (16/2). Not only that, spraying disinfectants into classrooms and several public facilities such as mass transportation.
"Today we distribute hand sanitizers to every faculty and department. We also spray disinfectants into classrooms and several public facilities. We are aiming for today," said Bambang Kuntadi, SP, MM, Director General of Facilities and Infrastructure of IPB University. . Bambang also said, his party would conduct fumigation this weekend in anticipation of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF).
Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Dodik Ridho Nurrochmat as Vice Chancellor for Cooperation and Information Systems as well as the Crisis Center Team Leader said that IPB University had proactively taken various steps to prevent the spread of the Corona virus.
Since it was first reported in the Covid-19 case in Indonesia, IPB University has announced through a circular containing an appeal that all IPB University residents remain calm, promoting rationality without reducing vigilance in responding to the latest situation of Covid-19 and DHF.
"IPB University will implement a partially closed down policy which applies from March 17, 2020 to April 5, 2020. During this period, the chancellor said that all academic activities on campus that are face-to-face are replaced by online or other non-face-to-face media.
