There is an Outbreak of COVID-19, IGAF IPB University is Devoting Online
The Indonesian Green Action Forum (IGAF) Student Activity Unit (UKM) IPB University once again held an Edu Green Village program in Kebon Kopi Village, Cibanteng, Ciampea District, Bogor Regency, early last March. This activity is the second activity carried out after the first Edu Green Village program sometime before.
This second EGV activity focuses on loving behavior in the environment and agriculture. Education included making pots made from recycled plastic waste and planting plant seeds. Besides, IGAF also educates the public and provides chili seeds.
Alika Samira Nisyah as the Chairperson of the Committee said that the activities went well and the children were very enthusiastic, especially when they recycled trash into pots.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Saddam Isra, as IGAF Chairperson, was very optimistic that EGV activities could have a good impact on society. "This activity hopes that the community is aware of the importance of waste management, understands some simple agricultural practices and increases children's creativity," he said.
The core committee consisted of several IPB University students namely Ari Habib Mahendra, Dava Kenes Amanda Putera, M. Ridho Saputra, Rina Puspasari Amanda, Aliyah Balfas, Marvella Audriana, Tanisha Pramudita, Quintan Nourma Herawati, Nadia Salsabila, M. Salman Alfarisi, Jauhar Zainalarifin , Airul Isma, Nikita Adella, Dwi Aji S and Asep Zaini Rahman.
Also, on this occasion, Saddam said that to anticipate the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak, IPB University implemented several policies. Like teaching and learning activities with online learning media for the second half of the Academic Year Even Semester 2019/2020.
"This makes IGAF need to adjust the work program following the policy. The Work Program of IGAF IPB 4.0 is a program of action and environmental education and community service through online media. The programs that will be carried out by IGAF include Green Lifestyle campaign, Environmental Infographics, Writing Training, and Commemoration of Environmental Day, "he added. (IAAS/YN)
