IPB University Participates in the 2019 NEST

IPB University participated in the 2019 National Expo for Science and Technology (NEST) exhibition.
The exhibition was organized by the Directorate General of Research and Development Strengthening, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti).
NEST is a multi-event event consisting of exhibitions, awards, national coordination meetings (Rakornas), workshops, talk shows, competitions to product demonstrations that are packaged to show the public the achievements of the research and development sector.
The activity, which was held on September 12-14, 2019 at Cendrawasih Hall, Jakarta Convention Center, aims to improve the culture of research through the awarding of science and technology (Science and Technology) practitioners.
In addition, it is also to promote the results of research and development as well as cooperation among science and technology stakeholders. It is hoped that the results of research and development can be utilized by the community and industry.
The 2019 NEST exhibition was attended by 31 institutions consisting of higher education institutions, government agencies, research institutions and the private sector. The exhibition which had the theme 'Research and Development Towards National Brand' was opened by the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Prof. H. Mohamad Nasir on September 12, 2019.
On this occasion, IPB University under the coordination of the Directorate of Innovation and Intellectual Property (DIK) presented a variety of innovations by IPB University lecturers, students and researchers, both commercialized and economically potential.
Many IPB University community innovations were displayed. IPB University innovations include cajuput candy, clarias biscuits, corn noodles, analog rice, composite seasoning flour, spirulina biscuits, kitobee, IPB 3S rice, horticultural seeds, Biohara Plus, Plantes, Provibio, green composite helmets, portable FADs, etc. .
IPB University's stand was visited by more than one hundred people per day from various institutions and layers of society such as students, business people, and the general public. Visitors were attracted to various innovations by IPB University community members. (NR)
