IPB University Science Techno Park Demonstrates Innovation in Germany
IPB University's Science Techno Park (STP) participated in the Indonesia Innovation Day (IID) at Saarland University, Saarbrucken, Germany on June 25-28, 2019. The annual activity carried out by the Ministry of Research and Technology aims to promote and explore innovative domestic product cooperation at the international. IID presented 27 innovative products from 21 Science and Technology Leading Centers (PUI) and 5 Science Techno Parks (STP), one of which was STP IPB Directorate of Technology Science Area and Business Incubator (DKSTIB) IPB University, represented by Head of Sub Directorate of Business Incubator, Deva Primadia Almada and Tenant STP, PT Interstisi by displaying Green Composite Helmet (GC Helmet) products. Invitations that are present consist of researchers, business practitioners, and industry in Europe.
IID 2019 activities include product presentation, product exhibition, business matchmaking, research networking, product development initiatives, and signing collaboration. The 2019 IID Greeting was carried out by the Director of Management of Research and Technology Transfer at Saarland University, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) Berlin-Germany, Arief Havas Oegroseno, and Director General of Dikti-Kemristekdikti Institute of Science and Technology, Dr. Patdono Suwignjo, M.Eng. formally. Also present were Secretary of the Directorate General of Science and Technology Dikti Dr. Ir Agus Indarjo, M.Phil, Chair of DRN Dr. Ir Bambang Setiadi, IPU and Director of the Research and Development Institute of Kemristekdikti, Ir Kemal Prihatman, M.Eng. The business matchmaking activity produces several Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in business and research collaboration with industrial partners in Germany. Some PUIs and STPs have collaborated partners in marketing, product development and research, and have signed the collabroration. One of the STP IPB University will collaborate with is Kazlei Bernhardt, one of the companies in Germany who are interested in marketing GC Helmet products in Germany and Poland.
To improve human resource capacity in technological innovation, a site visit was also held at the Saar Science Park, and several Research Institutions in the city of Saarbrucken, including the Max-Planck Institute for Informatic, KIST Europe Institute, CISPA-Helmholtxt Center for Information Security, and the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI). "Through the IID program and incubation carried out by STP, hopefully innovations in Indonesia can continue to grow and develop and produce innovative industries that are competitive in the future," Deva said.
