IPB University Establishes Partnership with Batu Bara Regency and PT. Royal Canin Indonesia


IPB University establishes a partnership with Batu Bara Regency and PT. Royal Canin Indonesia. The signatory of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was done in the Academic Senat Room, IPB Dramaga Campus Bogor, (26/6).

 Ir. H. Zahir, M.AP as the regent of Batu Bara regency himself was present at the event. The partnership was agreed upon the divisions of education, research and community development in order of the development of the Batu Bara regency area.

Meanwhile, PT. Royal Canin Indonesia was represented by Director Aria Pradana. The partnership was agreed upon IPB Univeristy and PT. Royal Canin Indonesia on the divisions of education, research and community development in the veterinary field.  

In his welcome speech, Dr. Arif Satria as the Rector of IPB University conveyed that IPB University has an abundance of innovations. There are more or less 25 IPB University innovations that were conveyed during the digital agricultural sharing at the FAO two weeks ago. This is as a form of IPB University’s commitment to serving the best for the community.

“I am sure we can collaborate furthermore, not only in the implementation of digital 4.0 agriculture, but also in the fields like education. We urge our friends from Batu Bara to study and obtain an education from a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and even a doctorate degree in IPB University through the regional scholarships we open to the public each year,” he said.

According to Dr. Arif Satria, this collaboration must be implemented in this era of uncertainty. Only by helping one another and working together can people face the current problems of this era.

The regent of Batu Bara, Zahir agreed to the IPB Rector’s statement on the partnership which will help Batu Bara regency. Through this partnership with IPB University it will help increase adoption of agricultural technology, so that the agriculture in Batu Bara regency will continue to improve and increase the quality of life of the local community.

“Hopefully we can continue to increase our partnerships. This MoU is the foundation of the partnership between the government of Batu Bara Regency with IPB University therefore will be continued through researches which are in accordance with the needs of the people of Batu Bara Regency,” Zahir closed.

Meanwhile, the Director of PT. Royal Canin Indonesia, Aria Pradana said he was very proud to be part of this partnership with IPB University which has high quality. He explained that the MoU which was signed is not just for the purpose of business matters, but was more emphasized on human resources. (AVR)
