Fapet IPB Holds a Training The session for Assessor Competence of Animal Husbandry Logistics


The Faculty of Animal Science (Fapet) IPB University alongside Animal Logistics Indonesia-Netherlands (ALIN) held a Training Session for Assessor Competence of Animal Husbandry Logistics at Dramaga Campus, Bogor (27-30/6). According to the Vice Dean of the Academic and Student Divison of Fapet, Dr. Rudi Afnan, this training session is part of a series of events as a form of partnership with ALIN and the Profession Certification Institution (LSP) Logistics Indonesia which has been established since December 2017.

Initiated by first organizing and developing a scheme for a competence unit for the occupancy of animal husbandry logistics supervisor, assessor training and even visiting the National Profession Certification Body (BNSP).

“The needs of a competence assessor in the logistics field is much needed by the Faculty of Animal Science of IPB University in supporting the Animal Husbandry Logistics Bachelor Plus program. The graduates of this Bachelor Plus program are capable of obtaining a competency certification. The importance of the competency certification in the animal husbandry logistics field is sure to impact and give a certain guarantee towards the holder and even to other stakeholders,” he said.

 He added that the competence certification is an acknowledgment towards the human resources who possess the knowledge, skill, and the attitude in work that is by the standard competence level of work which has been required and needed in the animal husbandry industry.

Dr. Rudi explained that this activity is part of a series of a process which is obligated for the assessor candidates to go through. After the training session, the candidates must go through an exam to measure their competence as a competent assessor in the animal husbandry logistics field.

“The exam for the assessor candidates will be held on the 6th of July 2019 at the Faculty of Animal Science IPB University. For all the participants that pass the exam on the 6th of July 2019 will become assessors in the field of competence of animal husbandry logistics,” he said.

Meanwhile, Uda Sasmita as the a representative of the certification manager from LSP Logistics Indonesia aid that the scheme of the animal husbandry logistics certification is the first in Indonesia.

“The scheme of the logistics certification in the field of manufacturing has always been present, however, this is the first-ever certification in the field of animal husbandry logistics in Indonesia,” he said. This event was participated by six participants from the Faculty of Animal Science IPB University. The training was directly trained by two trainers from the National Profession Certification Body (BNSP) which were Ratna D and Rahmat Sudjali (AVR)
