The IPB Alumni Association in Collaboration with the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation and BEM KM IPB Sends 503 Students for Free Homecoming


The Alumni Association (HA) of IPB University in cooperation with the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation and Student Family Student Executive Body (BEM KM) departed 503 students for Mudik Bareng on Friday 31 May 2019 at Baranangsiang's IPB Campus.

The release of the free Mudik departure was carried out by the Director of Multimodal Transport, Ahmad Yani, Vice Rector for Cooperation and Information System of IPB, Prof., Dodik Ridho Nurrochmat, Deputy General Chairperson of HAIPB, Nelly Oswini Subekti, Secretary General (Secretary General) of HA IPB, Walneg S. Jas and President of BEM KM IPB, Muhammad Nurdiyansyah.

HA Secretary General of IPB, Walneg S, in his speech said that the free trip program for IPB students was designed including the flagship program of the IPB Alumni Association. Alhamdulillah, this year is a lot more. Next year the plan is to send at least 1,000 people.

"To students who take this Free Homecoming, we hope to remember to become alumni and be able to continue this spirit, to continue to assist the IPB campus. He further expressed his gratitude to all parties who have supported this Free Mudik. The IPB Alumni Association is not only delivering Mudik Bareng participants to their respective regions but also providing parcel packages for parents at home that are all collected from sponsors. Congratulations on Free Homecoming, congratulations on joining tens of thousands of people at Monas, hopefully Eid-ul-Fitr brings blessings, "explained Walneg.

Meanwhile, the Vice Chancellor of the IPB for Cooperation and Information Systems, Prof. Dodik Ridho Nurrochmat expressed his appreciation to the Ministry of Transportation and the IPB Alumni Association for facilitating IPB students with 12 bus transportation to be able to go home together free of charge.

This free homecoming this time is not only fun, safe and comfortable, the moment of time is very fitting when the exam is finished, so going home really has calmed down. Prof. Dodik added that hopefully next year going home together can facilitate even more, it can also be for educational staff and families.

The Director of Multimodal Transport, Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia, Ahmad Yani said that going back together was a government program. This year, there are 1253 bus vehicles, one of which is in IPB.

Chairperson of the Committee Ir. Methia Metriva, alumni of Batch 27 of IPB, said that this fun and exciting homecoming program is a series of events this month. "Previously, we organized donations for orphans and underprivileged people. The mudik together with this fun event was attended by 503 IPB student participants from various classes, with the aim of going home together to various provinces such as West Sumatra, South Sumatra, West Java, Middle Java and East Java.

The President of BEM KM IPB Student, Muhammad Nurdiyansyah, reported that the results of his communication with fellow BEMs in Indonesia, IPB were the ones who sent homecoming together with the most homecoming participants. (RYS)
