A total of 18 Cultural Attractions are Presented in Nusantara Culture Festival Vocational School IPB


Communication Study Program, Vocational School (SV) IPB University held the 12th Nusantara Culture Festival in Plaza Balaikota Bogor, Sunday (28/4). This activity was enlivened by a series of activities including cultural parades, cultural talk shows, cultural performances and regional culinary. This activity is part of the Inter-Cultural Communication course. This year's Nusantara Culture Festival icon is Gatotkaca. A total of 18 cultural attractions were presented by students of the 55th Communication Study Program.

In the event, also read was the “Declaration of Cultured Millennial” by the representative of male and female students from Communication Study Program SV IPB. Through this declaration, the students are determined to preserve and introduce Indonesian culture through many ways.

IPB Rector, Dr. Arif Satria in his remark said “Biggest appreciation for the students of Communication Study Program SV IPB. Cultural awareness that has been built by the students is a part of the effort to increase our love to Indonesian culture.”

The Rector of IPB also expressed his appreciation for the Head of the Communication Program of SV IPB, who could maintain this moment. "This activity is part of the lecture which is then packaged in a fun way to improve soft skills, especially in terms of building teamwork and collaborating. Many multiple effects are generated through this activity. Soft skill is very necessary in the current era. Through this event, students can spur agility and build the ability to always work together and collaborate," added the Rector of IPB.

The Dean of SV IPB, Dr. Arief Daryanto conveyed, “Amazing! This event has been held for twelve consecutive years. To maintain an event for more than a decade needs passion, commitment, and integrity.” Meanwhile, the Head of Communication Study Program, SV IPB, Dr. Wahyu Budi Priatna said “This event is for us all, hopefully by recognizing our cultures, our unity can be stronger.”

This activity was hosted by Shinta Syamsul Arief from TV One, attended by the Putri Indonesia of Tourism 2018, Wilda Octaviana Situngkir and enlivened by a dance performance from Sindang Barang Cultural Village and Student Choir of Vocational School, D`Voice. This event was also attended the Mayor of Bogor, Bima Arya.
