Helping in the Science Learning Method for Elementary Students, IPB Students Win Awards

The team of students from the Faculty of Forestry, IPB University won the Nusantara Innovation Summit (NIS) 2019 at the Institut Pemerintahan Dalam Negeri (IPDN), Bandung (12-14/3). The team consisting of Deasy Ramatia, Dedi Iskandar and Edo Bagasunanda carried the Quarter (Quarted Printer), namely an alternative learning media based on learning, playing, and implementation method to help elementary students in understanding science subjects. There were 24 teams from 16 universities participating in this NIS 2019. In addition to becoming the winner in the innovation presentation, Deasy and the team also won the 'decorating stand' award.

"The theme that we are carrying out is 'Nusantara' which is characterized by batik cloth at every corner of the stand. And for the theme of innovation, we focus on education with card media. The Quarter Innovation is actually the output of the Student Creativity Program (PKM) activity that my team has done. In this competition, my team also adds innovation by making an android application so that the Quarter game can be accessed as needed," said Deasy, a student from the Forest Products Department.

According to her, this Quarter innovation is easy to play and has had a positive impact on its implementation. With this innovation, Deasy hoped that it could increase the enthusiasm of IPB students, especially Forest Products Department students, in achieving and serving the people. (**/Zul)
