Developing Sharia Agribusiness, Tazkia Collaborates with IPB University
Rector of IPB University, Dr. Arif Satria during a public lecture in front of students of the Tazkia Islamic Economics College (STEI), Bogor, said that STEI Tazkia as one of the Sharia pioneers in Indonesia, must be able to follow the flow of changes in the field of financial technology, especially technology 4.0. According to him, currently the young generation is facing an era with full of uncertainty or known as VUCA, namely Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity.
"There are nine directions of life change in the industrial era 4.0. These include technology changes to the internet of things, robotic, big data, and artificial intelligence. In addition, changes in the meaning of ownership to sharing concepts, changes in professions and occupations, changes in competition maps, changes in behavior and lifestyle, regulatory changes, changes in sources of new sovereignty (ie data), changes in maintaining trust, and changes in new skills," said the Rector.
Furthermore, he said, as a student, having a high GPA is not the only major determinant of success. But what's important now are honesty, discipline, socialization, supports from spouse, working harder than others, loving what is done, and good leadership skill.
On the same occasion, STEI Tazkia collaborated with IPB University. The signing of the memorandum of understanding was held at the Tazkia Campus, Sentul Bogor, (2/4).
Rector of STEI Tazkia, Dr. Murniati Mukhlisin, M.Acc, said that STEI Tazkia and IPB University have known each other for a long time. Even IPB lecturers have also contributed a lot in teaching several sessions in each semester in STEI Tazkia.
"We received a lot of input from IPB University for sharia economic development. But there has been no aggressive follow-up on both sides. So in the future we want to ensure more steps that can be done together in developing sharia agribusiness. For long term, in the future, we want to cooperate in double degree program," she said.
