IPB Officially Launches Strategic Plan for the Period 2019-2023
IPB University officially launched the Strategic Plan for the period of 2019-2023. The activity was carried out on Wednesday (3/20) at the Auditorium of FMIPA, Dramaga Campus of IPB. The IPB Strategic Plan for the Period of 2019-2023 is the five-year IPB planning document that outlines the first five-year plan of the IPB Long-Term Plan for the period 2019-2045.
"The target of IPB to reach the Top 500 QS World University Ranking, Top 100 Asia and Top 3 The ranking of national universities is an agenda that is expected to be realized in the period of the next five years," said Chairman of the Institute for Development Institute, Dr. Ernan Rustiadi.
Dr. Ernan said, in order to be able to realize the agenda, it was necessary to develop programs and activities systematically, directed and measurable, all of which led to the achievement of the 2019 IPB agenda.
"The IPB Strategic Plan for the 2019-2023 period is a very important document and is needed as a guide for IPB in preparing programs and activities for the next five years," Dr. Ernan.
Dr. Ernan wants in the future, there will be an alignment between the IPB strategic plan and the strategic plan in all units in IPB. Periodically for example, if the IPB Strategic Plan uses a period of five years, then from the faculty to the department or study program and other units must follow.
Meanwhile, the Rector of IPB, Dr. Arif Satria said, the 2019-2023 period was a phase that focused on research-based strengthening or Research Base University (RBU). This is done through strengthening the research culture, improving research performance and strengthening the relevance that gave birth to innovations that have been recognized by their reputation.
To support the research-based strengthening, IPB also develops innovation and business with strong support from research management systems, educational and research facilities, funding, management information systems, incentive systems for publications, and management of innovation and intellectual property.
"At the moment we have to think that we will not be slow to face change, do not let regulations slow us down, while changes come quickly," said the Rector of IPB.
Therefore, according to him now there is a need for cohesiveness between all the parts in IPB, from the institute level to the departments or study programs and the units below. With the launch of the IPB Strategic Plan for the period 2019-2023, the Rector of IPB hopes that all parts can collaborate in building IPB in the future in the face of the industrial era 4.0 and achieving long-term goals towards Techno-Sosio Entrepreneurial University (TSEU).
