Before Graduation, Candidates for IPB University Graduates Receive Provision of Post Campus Life

In order to have high adaptability and fighting ability in the world of work, prospective graduates of the IPB University are equipped with soft skills and knowledge to face the post-disaster world on Monday (11/3) at the Andi Hakim Nasution Auditorium, Dramaga Campus, Bogor. The briefing was named the Studium Generale Pra Graduation. The generale study entitled "Millennials in Industry 4.0: Career and Business" was given to students who will graduate on Wednesday (3/13).

Director of Student Affairs and Career Development of IPB University, Dr. Alim Setiawan Slamet said that this studium generale is a routine program that is held before graduation. The studium generale aims to provide knowledge and insight to prospective graduates of IPB University in facing the post-disaster world.

"This Studium Generale presents speakers from the banking sector, so that students get financial literacy, especially finance, which is managed by Islamic banking. On the other hand, there were also alumni who were involved in the business world so that IPB alumni could open businesses and open new jobs, "said Dr. Pious.

According to him, Indonesia's open unemployment currently reaches 6.87 million people. This is a big challenge for all. For this reason, he hopes that IPB University graduates will not contribute to the number of unemployed people.

"Do not let IPB alumni increase the current number of unemployed. Thankfully it can reduce the number of unemployed, "added Dr. Pious.

The method is how, continued Alim, the way is by entrepreneurship. Because entrepreneurship can reduce the number of unemployed people in Indonesia. He said, up to now IPB graduates who are in the business field amounted to eight percent of all IPB alumni. As a campus that is committed to producing graduates who become socio-entrepreneurs, IPB continues to encourage prospective alumni to develop their business ideas.

To support IPB's efforts in printing graduates engaged in socio-entrepreneurship, PT Bank Muamalat Tbk. Head of Learning and Talent Management, Anton Hendrianto stressed that he would participate in providing assistance.

"Currently the millennial generation really wants to be a job creator so they can open jobs. I am sure, these efforts will help the government in creating jobs, "Anton said.

As one of the Islamic banks in Indonesia, continued Anton, Bank Muamalat will support and fully support millennials that want to engage the business world, especially the halal industry. Not only that, Bank Muamalat will facilitate IPB students to take part in internships in the banking world. (NR)
