IPB University Sends 2 Facilitators, Helps Succeed the Sidat Fish Mission as an Icon of Sukabumi Regency

The team from the Institute of Research and Community Service (LPPM) IPB University led by the Head of the Field Program for Real Work and Student Service, Dr. Ninuk Purnaningsih took two facilitators from the Lapang Agro Creative Station (SLAK) to Sukabumi District. The LPPM IPB University Team was received by the Head of the Public and Personnel Subdivision of the Sukabumi Regency Fisheries and Maritime Affairs Office, Inai Yuningsih, S.Pd, M.Si at the Sukabumi Regency Fisheries and Maritime Services Office, Tuesday (12/11).

SLAK activities in Sukabumi Regency are a form of dissemination of the results of IPB University’s innovations to the public. The aim is to help coordinate the implementation of official programs related to Sidat Fish Cultivation and to provide socialization or training to the community related to the technique of catching, cultivating and processing Sidat Fish through the Serving Lecturer Program.

“We hope that this SLAK LPPM IPB University program can help the Sukabumi Regent’s mission succeed in making Sidat Fish an Icon of Sukabumi District,” Inai Yuningsih said in her speech.

In response, Dr Ninuk explained that the SLAK facilitator after the field would identify problems and potentials and find solutions to those problems. In addition, the facilitator will assist fishermen groups and coordinate cooperation with the Regional Government in carrying out official programs.

“The two SLAK facilitators in Sukabumi Regency will be placed in three locations, namely Ciwaru Village, Ciemas District and Cidadap Village and Sangrawayang Village Simpenan District,” said Dr. Ninuk. (NR)
