JIPI Managing Study Team Imitates ITB

The management team of the Indonesian Journal of Agricultural Sciences (JIPI), the Institute of Research and Community Service (LPPM) IPB University consisting of Prof. Dr. Agik Suprayogi, M.Sc.Agr, Deputy Head of LPPM for Research, Lia Maulianawati, AMa, JIPI Secretariat Coordinator, Firda Sabrina, SPt, JIPI Admin, and Ayu Sri Rahayu, A.Md, JIPI Secretariat, and Syaiful Bakhri, JIPI Secretariat doing a replica study activity to the LPPM Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) to study the mechanism of managing internationally reputable journals conducted by LPPM ITB, Friday (9/27).
During the visit, Prof. Agik conveyed the purpose of a comparative study to LPPM ITB to learn and explore information on how to manage journals so that articles can be published in a short time and know what stages need to be done so that journals can be indexed Scopus. "We hope that by carrying out this replica study, JIPI can increase its journal capacity so that it can increase the status of journal accreditation to Sinta 1 (S1) and can continue to be indexed by Scopus," explained Prof. Agik.
LPIP IPB's JIPI Team's visit was received directly by Dr. Delik Hudalah, ST, MT, MSc, Secretary of the Institute for Continuing Education, Prof. Edi Suwono, PhD, Journal Coordinator, Early Sofiani Permatasari, SSi, MT and team. LPPM ITB welcomed the imitation study activity.
"Until 2019, LPPM ITB has recorded five journals, four journals that have been indexed Scopus and one indexed Sprott 2 (S2). We believe that this comparative study program of LPPM IPB to LPPM ITB can be used as a form of learning for both parties in managing the journal in a better direction, "said Dr. Delik in his speech. On this occasion, the manager of JIPI discussed and explored information related to the management of the journal manuscript management process, including tips so that the existing manuscripts could be published quickly and indexed by Scopus.
