IPB University Holds MODI for Non PNS Permanent Lecturers
The Directorate of Human Resources of IPB University held the Orientation Period of IPB University Lecturer (MODI) or the Orientation Period of Non-Civil Servants (PNS) IPB University Batch II from 30 September to 11 October 2019 at the Baranangsiang Campus in Bogor.
MODI IPB University was attended by 48 non-PNS permanent lecturer participants consisting of 13 lecturers from the Business School and 35 Vocational School lecturers. This activity was attended by Deputy Chancellor for Resources, Planning and Finance, Prof. Agus Purwito, Dean of Vocational Schools, Dr. Arief Daryanto, Dean of Business Schools, Prof. Noer Azam Achsani, Director of Human Resources, Dr. Titik Sumarti and Deputy Dean of Resources, Cooperation and Development, Vocational School, Dr. Wawan Oktariza.
The Vice-Chancellor for Resources, Planning, and Finance, Prof. Agus Purwito in opening the event said, the purpose of this MODI activity was to strengthen the understanding of prospective Non-PNS lecturers about the rights and obligations as permanent non-PNS IPB University lecturers and to know what IPB University was going forward.
“IPB University is proud to accept non-PNS permanent lecturers. Today is an activity that determines the future of non-PNS permanent lecturers because after this orientation activity everything will have to be done including having to continue school, take care of promotions and do research. All of that is needed information and knowledge from various parties involved at IPB University, “said Prof. Agus.
Prof. Agus added, non-PNS permanent lecturers must really pay attention to their rights and obligations as education, instructors, researchers, and community service, so that in carrying out this task in accordance with the spirit of IPB University.
While the Dean of the IPB University Business School, Prof. Noer Azam Achsani expressed his gratitude to IPB University for approving the appointment process of non-PNS lecturers at the IPB University Business School. “We consider that non-PNS lecturers are not a burden, but non-PNS lecturers are an asset that will boost and bring something useful for IPB University and especially for IPB University Business School,” he said.
While the Dean of the Vocational School of IPB University, Dr. Arief Daryanto said that non-civil servant lecturers must have a new spirit and continue to plan their careers in the future to build a balance between teaching and learning and pay attention to the future well by taking care of ranks and developing scientific learning.
“In the future, the presence of new staff from non-PNS Vocational School lecturers can continue to grow and progress. Vocational Schools will continue to make a good curriculum by producing skilled, tough and quality graduates, so with the help and support of non-PNS lecturers, the Vocational School of IPB University will develop better, “he said.
