Teenager is a transition from childhood to adulthood. Various physical and psychological changes experienced during adolescence, so adolescents are vulnerable to experiencing nutritional and health problems. While adolescents are an important period to instill knowledge, attitudes and skills about nutrition and health and good behavior, so that one day they will become individuals who are ready in family life and pregnancy periods in the future.

To overcome this, the Faculty of Human Ecology (Fema) IPB University in collaboration with PT Sarihusada Generasi Mahardhika carried out the activity “Development of Effective Nutrition and Health Education Guidelines for Youth”.

The signing of the collaboration was carried out in the AMG Connect Room, Fema IPB University, Dramaga Campus of IPB, Bogor (10/22). The memorandum of understanding was signed by the Dean of Fema, Prof. Dr. Ujang Sumarwan and the Director of Danone Indonesia’s Sustainable Development, Karyanto Wibowo.

This collaboration will produce modules, education media and promotion or socialization that are appropriate and appropriate and effective to be used as teaching material for teachers to junior and senior high school students as well as to student ambassadors involving lecturers. IPB University included Prof. Dr. Sri Anna Marliyati, MSi, Prof. Dr. Siti Madanijah and Fajria Saliha Puspita Prameswari, SGz, MSi from the Department of Community Nutrition and Dr. Dwi Hastuti from the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences.

“The purpose of this collaboration is to compile nutrition and health education materials for adolescents by taking into account adolescent physical, biological, psychological, and social development which can then be used as knowledge to prepare for the First 1000 Days of Life (HPK),” said Prof. Ujang.

This activity will also involve teachers and student ambassadors at the Junior High School and Senior High School levels. The aim is to provide education to school students in selected pilot schools. (NR)
