FEM Collaborates with Archive Unit to establish Record Center

Deputy Dean of Resources, Cooperation and Development of the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) of IPB University Dr. Tanti Novianti received the Phase I Report for the Establishment of the IPB FEM Record Center (RC) in the FEM Meeting Room, IPB Dramaga Campus, Bogor (17/5). FEM RC is an Archive Center which functions as an inactive archive storage for the dean office and departments within FEM.

“The formation of FEM RC is a collaboration between FEM and the Archive Unit (UA) of IPB in order to carry out the mandate of the Indonesian Government Regulation Number 28 Year 2012 concerning Implementation of Law Number 43 Year 2009 concerning Archives. In addition, this activity is also a form of support for the National Movement of Archive Orderly Awareness (GNSTA) contained in the Indonesian National Archives Head Regulation Number 7 Year 2017 concerning GNSTA,” said Head of Archive Unit of IPB, Drs. B. Mustafa, M. Lib.

According to him, during the first phase carried out for four months there were as many as 1,115 (one thousand one hundred and fifteen) files that had been successfully processed. There were 1,090 (one thousand and ninety) archive files arranged in the FEM RC room, consisting of personal static archive files of undergraduate program students, active and inactive personal archive files of lecturer and educational staff, academic correspondence, and Rector and Dean decisions in the FEM of IPB. There were also 25 files suggested to be destroyed in 2004-2016.

“The completion of FEM RC will be continued in July 2019. We hope that the establishment of this RC will be able to improve correct filing management in the FEM of IPB,” he added. (**/Zul/zsp)
