Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) agreed to cooperate with Incheon National University (INU) and Korean Institute for Education and Culture (KIEC) Indonesia through memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing. The mentioned collaboration was carried out in the context of developing and exchanging mutually beneficial academic and research activities. The Rector of IPB—Dr. Arif Satria, President of INU—Mr. Cho Dong Sung, and Founder and Managing Director of KIEC Indonesia—Musmarafah Machmud, M.A, signed the agreement on Thursday, December 13th, 2018 in Jakarta. The scopes of collaboration include student exchanges for both study and work experiences, transfer of knowledge and expertise, joint development of study programs at all levels (i.e. double degree), joint research, and joint participation in development projects for both Korean language learning and Korean Language Institute promotion. INU notably has expanded their mastery for considerably long time as National renowned technical college. Meanwhile, IPB itself is recognized as one of the World’s most reputable agricultural institute. Hence, in accordance to those mentioned strengths possessed by both parties, IPB Rector emphasized the focus on cooperation shall be on smart agriculture based agenda and technological outgrowth due to Korean globally-known expertise on this particular aspect.
