Rio Ardiansyah Murda, Indra Lorenza and Rendy Yudha Kurniawan are students of Forest Product Technology of the Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) who have succeeded in pioneering woodcraft business. Successfully reading the opportunity, Rio and his colleagues tried to increase the added value of wood by making a wooden craft business.

The business he runs is to provide services for making various kinds of products, especially craft using pine wood used in containers and community timber. The name of the business brand is Let It Wood.

"The initial motivation was the desire to be self-employed and be able to provide employment for the community related to science that has been studied," said Rio.

He said the name Let It Wood itself was taken to give the impression that various needs can be made from wood that has a much better aesthetic and economic value.

"The added value of our business is raw materials that use used wood (waste) and community timber," he said.

Let It Wood itself produces in Ciampea Bogor. The products are various creations. There is Senidurukai, a face painting product made from folk wood (pulai or flamboyan) which is painted using manual solder.

Jamkai is a wall clock product made of wood. The manufacturing process uses photo transfer techniques and / or pyrography (painting with burn solder).

The potential is the best-seller product from Let It Wood. Potassium uses photo transfer techniques on the wood surface.

As well as wooden plaques and trophies are custom souvenir products from wood for keepsake events or awards.

The product of the business that he has pioneered since December 2017 has been marketed to various regions in Indonesia. In Rio marketing, utilizing an online shop. The price of the product itself varies from 50 thousand to hundreds of thousands depending on the level of difficulty.

"Product marketing has been throughout Indonesia and also taken for overseas activities such as the Netherlands and Japan. Product marketing has been focused on online stores on Instagram utilizing Instagram ads, FB ads, online marketplaces, and word of mouth promotion," he said.
