Estafetkebaikan.com, a Village Fund Management Platform made by IPB Students, Wins National Competition
Efforts to develop and innovate for the nation continue to be carried out by the entire academic community of the Bogor Agricultural University (IPB). This time two IPB students, Edo Bagasunanda (Department of Forest Management, Faculty of Forestry) and Zulfa Fauziah (Department of Management, Faculty of Economics and Management) won first place in the national student writing competition. They have innovative ideas to empower the potential of villages in the archipelago through Estafetkebaikan.com, a crowdfunding-based website platform to improve the integrated village economic system.
The paper was included in the Mechanomorposa II national writing competition held by the University of Bangka Belitung (UBB) in early October. The idea of Estafetkebaikan.com was initiated because of the concerns of the two IPB students that funding would be less effective for village empowerment. The existence of this platform will connect donors with communities in villages lagging behind crowdfunding systems and e-comment methods (Education, Coaching, and Training).
"Empowering village potential by website-based crowdfunding is an effective solution in helping the capital of rural communities to increase employment. This system also teaches mutual cooperation and sharing with the concept of empowering small and medium-sized communities. "Through an integrated platform and e-comment method, it is increasingly convinced that the village empowerment program planned will be realized," Edo said while explaining the advantages of his work.
According to him, some funding for village empowerment has sometimes not been maximized until the final stage and evaluation. Therefore they provide education to provide insight and motivation for the village community to develop superior products, then coaching or training as well as program evaluation are carried out and with regular mentoring or mentoring to ensure program sustainability.
After going through various selections from abstracts, to full papers, the IPB team made it into the top five and successfully brought the first trophy in this competition. "This is our first experience as a third semester student trying to take part in a scientific writing competition. And thank God, we won. The jury is very interested in our work with the ideas we offer, even the jury hopes that our work will get support from related institutions to be implemented immediately," said Zulfa. (FM)
