IPB Vocational School Breaks MURI Record with 73 Paper Mob 3Ds

Vocational School of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) broke the record in World-Indonesia Museum of Records (MURI) with a total of Paper Mob 3D creations with the most configurations on Friday (31/8). This beat the record made by UIN Wali Songo in Semarang, who made 13 creations in 2017.
The creation of those Paper Mob 3Ds was done to commemorate the new student orientation program (MPKMB) for IPB Vocational School students batch 55. As many as 73 formations formed various patterns, including texts and pictures: 'Kerja Kita', 'Prestasi Bangsa', Garuda, 'Sukses Asian Games', 'Vokasi 4.0', IPB logo and other creations. The record was initiated by the higher ups and professors of IPB Vocational School and executed by students during MPKMB which involved 2.300 new students.
IPB Rector, Dr. Arif Satria said, "Congratulations, you are exceptional. I am very proud. This is the start to carve the next history. Now, this extraordinary Paper Mob formations. In the future, there will be much more new inventions, innovations, technology, new development models which can be beneficial for all of us, so that IPB students can really mark the history for the development of this country. Once again, congratulations. I know you had limited time to practice, but you succeeded anyway, that's great."
Moreover, according to IPB Rector, the formations indicate that the participants were united, focused, concentrated, and able to collaborate with the other 2.300 participants. "From now we have to be confident. We have a dream and and let's achieve it together. This is a great start to build the student's mentality, soft skill, collaboration and leadership."
Besides that, IPB Rector added that IPB Vocational School in the future is very vital for economic development. Economy development in Indonesia will need skilled human resources, those who have careers in various companies. "Now, what we encourage are those who are not only absorbed by the employers, but those who create jobs. This is IPB's role to significantly develop economy; to develop the ability to create new jobs.
Senior Manager of MURI, Awan Rahargo said that it is a pleasure for team MURI to have the opportunity to witness the superlative phenomenon. "We from MURI are very proud to witness this Paper Mob 3D Configuration record that surpasses the previous record." He added that through this activity, several things can be learned, including teamwork, unity, hard work,and sincerity. Without all those, this achievement wouldn't be realized. "IPB Vocational School students have fired our pride in the world."
Within this occasion, the Dean of IPB Vocational School, Dr. Arief Daryanto expressed his pride and optimism. "This activity is a strategic initiative in the process of transforming IPB Diploma Program to IPB Vocational School, and I am very proud to witness the students' creativity and spirit in this event. I hope the new students are ready to face the challenges and can become the initiators of changes in this disruptive technology era," he said. The 3D Paper Formation was also held to commemorate the Independence Day of Indonesia.
In this event, there were also presentations from Students Activity Organization (UKM) of IPB Vocational School, yells, flashmob (in accordance with HiLo, and the most captivating performance from IPB Rector Band. There were also a bazaar and IPB Vocational School UKM booths. (Ard)
