IPB Wins Best Foreign Research Partners Award
Rector of Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) Dr. Arif Satria received an award from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Kemenristekdikti) RI as the Best Foreign Researcher Participant Category of State Universities (PTN) in Java. This award was presented at Rakornas Foreign Researcher Partners 2018 at Sari Pan Pacific Hotel Jakarta, Thursday (5/7).
Trophy and Award Charter are given by the Director General of Research and Development Reinforcement, Dr. Muhammad Dimyati accompanied by Director General of Intellectual Property Management to Rector of IPB, Dr. Arif Satria.
"Alhamdulillah, IPB re-incised achievement by earning an award as the best foreign research partner by Kemenristekdikti. It's an award that needs to be maintained. I thank the IPB researchers who have been serious and persistent in conducting international collaborative research that turned out to be extraordinary results. We need to improve this achievement and let's continue to strengthen international cooperation, "said Dr. Arif Satria
Dr. Arif Satria hope, in the future international research conducted by IPB researchers can increase and produce something useful for the nation.
"Of course not just cooperation but produce something more beneficial for this nation," he added.
The awarding of intellectual property awards is given to universities, institutions, R & D, and innovator researchers.
The award as Best Foreign Researcher Partner of PTN category outside Java is given to the University of Riau. Private universities are awarded to the National University.
The award is given in order to appreciate the universities that have conducted research cooperation with foreign researchers and as partners of cooperation of foreign researchers.
Rakornas Foreign Workers Partners this time with the theme of "Opportunities and Challenges of International Science and Technology Cooperation: Global Issues, Strategic Partnership, and Benefit Sharing."
In the series of Rakornas, they also launch a Virtual Meeting Application System TKPIPA (SIVITA) by Dr. Muhammad Dimyati and the Declaration of Communication Forum of International Research Working Partner led by Prof. Dr. Jamaludin Jompa.
The existence of SIVITA is expected to shorten the service of licensing and regulation of international research cooperation permit as well as improve the performance of national and international research, it can bring the spirit to conduct international research cooperation. (Jhn)
