PPID-IPB Become a Referral of PPID-Unila


Lampung University (Unila) sent four delegates to conduct a comparative study with the Information Management and Documentation Officer (PPID), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Thursday (30/3). This comparative study is tolook at the strategy of PPID-IPB that has made it twice win the Award of Public Information Transparency (KIP), in the third Ranking of University Category, in 2014 and 2016.

The arrival of the delegates was welcomed by a number of PPID-IPB officials and team including Secretary, Ir. Yatri Indah Kusumastuti, MSI; Information Service Manager, Siti Nuryati, STP, MSI; Complaint and Dispute Settlement Managament, Widodo Bayu Ajie, SH; and Documentation and Archives Management, Mayrianti Annisa Anwar, SP, M.Sc. The delegates were received at the Media Center, Andi Hakim Nasoetion Building, Darmaga Campus of IPB, Bogor.

Secretary of PPID-IPB, expressed that in providing public information services as mandated by Law No. 14/2008 on Public Information Transparency, IPB has established PPID. IPB PPID is managed with reference to the role and function of PPID and by complying to the SOP so that the information service can run smoothly. PPID IPB has been practicing the organizational structure, roles and functions, SOP, providing information and supporting data and determining the exempted information.

It is important for every university to establish PPID to facilitate the request for information to get fast and simple services and well organized in line with the existing regulation. "Universities, as public bodies, have to establish a PPID to implement the obligation for a public information transparency," said Yatri.

She added, IPB also provides a variety of public information accessable on the web page. PPID IPB has a work program for 2017 on the launch of a new web, public information services, service regulation, arrangement of rooms and facilities for PPID-IPB, content of PPID IPB brochures, a satisfaction index survey of public information, and Self Assessment Questionnaire ( SAQ).

Meanwhile, Secretary of PPID-Unila said Unila is still relatively new in this case. Thus, it needs a lot of learning and experience from PPID of other universities, including IPB. (Mtd)
