IPB’s Safari of Agricultural Clinic


Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) conducted community services from July 29 to August 2, 2016. It was a Safari of the Archipelago Agricultural Clinic in four Agricultural Production Centers of IPB, namely Bojonegoro Regency (Centre for People’s Animal Farming: beef cattle), Ngawi Regency (organic rice production center), Madiun Regency (bananas and dairy production center), Pasuruan Regency (Centre for People’s Animal Farming: dairy cows).


The Agricultural Clinic Safari involves the Animal Health Clinic of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FKH) IPB, Nutrition and Animal Production Clinic of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry of IPB, Plant Clinic the Faculty of Agriculture of IPB, and Nutrition Consultation and Family Clinic of the Faculty of Human Ecology (FEMA) of IPB.


The activity was welcome and attended by many farmers and animal breeders. It became more active with the presence of IPB students in the activity called IPB Goes to Field (IGTF) for three weeks at the IPB’s centers. Some leaders of LPPM UM-Malang, Paramadina University and the State Islamic University (UIN) of Surabaya also observed this activity. From this activity a lot of innovation and technology are delivered directly to the farmers. *** (Mtd)
