Alumni motivation For Freshmen of FATETA IPB
To motivate the freshman students batch 52, Fakultas Teknologi Pertanian (FATETA – Faculty of Agricultural Technology) of Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB – Bogor Agricultural University) in collaboration with the Student Executive Body (BEM) of FATETA organized a talk show and Alumni Home Coming, on Saturday, 5 March 2016, at the Auditorium of Common Class room (CCR), Dramaga Campus, Bogor. The objective of the event was to foster and strengthen the kinship and togetherness among alumni with their alma mater FATETA IPB.
Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Fathia Indramulya Audy, said that this special event was to provide special forum for the Alumni of FATETA IPB to share their experiences. She emphasized that the alumni would became their references as to channelize their connection with industry for internship, and apprenticeship, as well as to provide tips on job-seeking program.
Vice Dean FATETA IPB, Prof. Dr. Ono Suparno, stated that the Alumni Home Coming is an important forum for the development of FATETA IPB. "In addition to be the instrument for social gathering, communication and symbiotic mutualism between alumni, the current meeting became the media to motivate students to be competitive in the job markets," he explained.
Yet, Chairman of the Alumni FATETA IPB, Dr. Alex Denny, stated that everyone has the right and equal opportunities to be successful in their careers. "To be a successful leader and abiding citizen, we have to be able to manage our minds and efforts to utilize any available opportunities exist," he said. (awl)
