The Visit of SMA Kusuma Bangsa, Palembang, to IPB to Increase Students’ Horizons

SMA Kusuma Bangsa, Palembang, South Sumatra in its recent study tour made official visit to Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), on Wednesday, 4 February 2015. The group were officially received in the Auditorium of Andi Hakim Nasoetion, Dramaga campus, Bogor. The Principal of SMA Kusuma Bangsa, Palembang, Mr. Dony Fikri Akbar, Kom.,  stated, "Our goal to visit IPB is to expand our students’ horizons on the higher education system practiced by  IPB".

 

In this present visit the group consisted of  162 (one hundred and sixty two) students and 9 (nine) teachers, and the first item of the program planned for them was video presentation on IPB. "In this video presentation the group learned the campus life of students of IPB in brief, where the upstream to downstream agricultural education are offered at IPB, "stated Mr. Dony Fikri Akbar.

 

After video  presentation, the item of the program for the group was presentation on the excellence and achievements made by  IPB by the Head of Public Relations, Law Office, Promotion, and Public Relations (KHPH) of IPB, Ms. Siti Nuryati, S.TP, M.Sc., during which she explained  about scholarships to be granted by IPB and the life in the dorm. 

 

"We also want to practice self-sufficiency and improve students’ self-responsibility.  We must acknowledged the warm welcome accorded for us by IPB. We hope this official visit to the IPB, will increase students’ horizons, "closed Mr. Dony Fikri Akbar. (Wied)
