Socialization of Erasmus Mundus in IPB
Erasmus Mundus scholarship is a grant from the European Union with the aim to encourage and provide opportunities for S1 graduates from countries outside the European Union to take particular Master Degree of Erasmus Mundus in Europe within a period of 1-2 years. "There is also funding for academics to teach or carry out research and scientific activities in the institutions participating in the Master programs of Erasmus Mundus for a maximum period of three months," said a Delegate of Erasmus Mundus, Dordia Rotinsulu in the Expert III Kick off and Promotional Meeting, Tuesday (30/10) in the Darmaga Campus.
The scholarships are the maximum period of two years in Master programs, worth 24 000 Euros per student for 1 year educational program or 48,000 Euros per student for a period of 2 years. Stipends for the academic scholars will be granted for a period of 3 months, amounting to 14,800 Euros per person. The scholarship covers travel expenses, course fees, a monthly allowance, and accommodation. These are paid directly to the recipients through the consortium.
Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Prof. Yonny Koesmaryono said Erasmus Mundus Consortium was established in 2010 with 19 member countries. "In this socialization, we are inviting other universities such as Sharif Hidayatullah State Islamic University, Padjadjaran University, Parahyangan University, Soedirman University, and others to expand more scholarship recipients," said Prof.Yonny.
