The Important Role of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science of Bogor Agricultural University for Agriculture Development

Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA-IPB) is the Faculty under Bogor Agricultural University that that offers basic science to supports the development of the entire field of science. "As it is attached to Bogor Agriculture University, thus indirectly the said Faculty has played important role in supporting the agricultural sciences in the broad sense. We participate in the development of sustainable agricultural, "said the Dean of Faculty of athematics and Natural Sciences, Dr. Ir. Sri Nurdiati, M. Sc in Dialogue morning of RRI, on Tuesday, 13 December 2011.
 
With the increasing animo of students who are interested in the Mathematics and Natural Sciences fields,  therefore, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Bogor Agricultural University has expanded and developed into  eight departments, namely Statistics, Geophysics and Meteorology (Geomet), Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics and Biochemistry. "Here in this Faculty we just admitted  the best  students with a capacity of 1: 10. Of the existing eight departments, the Department of Statistics and Computer Science  are the most  demanding Departments, "he continued.

There are a lot of government agencies in Bogor, therefore, FMIPA IPB has established networks and cooperation with those agencies. "We also conduct collaborative research with private agencies. However, for our products / results  we have not been able sociable or to marketing them. We expect  that both the government and the private sectors will assist FMIPA-IPB to assist in the marketing of the research results or their other  works, "added Dr. Nurdiati.

To conclude, Dr. Nurdiati stated that choosing the Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences is the right choice. "As in reality, even prior to the graduation of the University, but a lot of jobs await them. In general, the  graduates of FMIPA – IPB have to wait less than  a year to get a job. Diligent and persistent is the key to success, "said Dr. Nurdiati. (Wied).
