Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs  of IPB, Prof. Yonny Koesmaryono and Director of Student Affairs, Dr. Rimbawan welcomed a delegation of Indonesia University of Education (UPI) in the Senate Meeting Room, Andi Nasoetion Building, 6th floor, 6 (22 / 3) Darmaga Campus of IPB. The delegation, led by Prof. Cecep Darmawan, Director of Student Affairs of UPI, intends to study the activities and coordination of student organizations in IPB.

In his speech Prof. Yonny said IPB students who are active in student organizations on average have a good GPA. "We stop activists who have a low GPA from their involvement in student organization, so they have to focus on academic activities. This is the requirement so that they become good models for other students," he said.

In addition, Prof. Yonny also cited the advantage of the IPB policy that requires its first-year students to stay in the student dormitory. While staying in the dorms, they should be able to adapt to different roommates holding different cultures.

"The commitment of IPB is the spirit to unite students from across Indonesia, a multicultural country. Such adaptation is of great advantage," he added. (Mtd)
