Keep Working Mr. Bun …
Yapong Dance performed by Caca and Mimi, initiated the retirement ceremony for Prof. Dr. Ir. Bunasor Sanim, M.Sc., Saturday (22 / 1) at IPB International Convention Center (IICC), Bogor. Caca and Mimi are the beloved grandchildren of Mr. Bun, the informal name for Prof. Bunasor.
They also demonstrated their talent in placing musical instruments, like violin and piano. Apart from the performance of Caca and Mimi, on this occasion a poem was also recited about the journey of Mr. Bun by Drs. Ramilus, an activist of the Indonesian Muslim Intellectuals Association (ICMI), Bogor.
The post service event for Mr. Bun was wrapped up very nicely. The shade of agriculture can be seen from the decorations full of various vegetables. Hundreds of guests really enjoyed the event of more than 3 hours.
Present among others were Deputy Minister of Agriculture Dr. Bayu Krisnamurthi, Rector of IPB Prof.Dr. Herry Suhardiyanto with the Vice Rectors, two former Ministers of Agriculture Prof. Dr. Soleh Solahudin and Prof.Dr. Bungaran Saragih, President Director BRI Sofyan Basir and its Board of Directors and Commissioners, Head of National Land Agency (BPN) Joyo Winoto, Regent and Head of Bapeda Brebes, as well as hundreds of colleagues of Mr. Bun.
From the testimony of a number of colleagues, it can be seen that Mr. Bun has a humble personality. Even his grandchildren said that Engking (the name for Grandpa) is not arrogant person.
One testimony comes from President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) through a video show. SBY was once a student of Mr. Bun during his doctoral studies in Agricultural Economics Study Program (EPN) IPB.
"Mr. Bunasor is a very professional teacher, who masters the materials he teaches. He really wants the students to understand what he teaches, practicing a student oriented method of learning. Meanwhile as the Commissioner of the BRI, I’ve heard a lot he has a good performance, a sound control of his field, and a comprehensive understanding of agriculture, thus helping the BRI with distributing credits/loans to farmers," said President SBY.
The post-service ceremony of the retired Mr. Bun, who is married to Dr. Tatit Krissupijanti, M.Sc., was also filled with the launching of three books, Biography of Prof. Dr. Bunasor Sanim, Water Resource Economics and Public Welfare, and The Golden Dynamic Triangle of Control System in PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia, Tbk.
Surprisingly, this Professor originally wished to become a District Officer, seen as an honorable job at that time in his village, Gatakan Neighborhood, Dumeling Village, Wanasari District, Brebes Regency.
Now after Mr. Bun retires, his ideas are still needed by the IPB as his alma mater, BRI and Brebes, and so a series of prayers came from the audience for Mr. Bun that he is always in a good health and given Husnul Khotimah (good ending) so that he can continue to serve the country and this nation until the end of life.
