Bank Mandiri Serves for 2011 SNMPTN Canditates to Accept Their Payments

Bank Mandiri will accept payment of the 2011 National Entrance Test for State University (SNMPTN) admission fee. This year Entrance Test system will involve  60 State Universities in Indonesia. The statement was made by the Vice President Director of Bank Mandiri, Mr. Riswinandi, in his press conference on SNMPTN 2011, in Jakarta, 12 January 2011.

Mr. Riswinandi, said that Bank Mandiri has developed information technology systems to facilitate the admission process for 2011 SNPTN so that the candidates do not necessary to come to campus or local committee to complete the admission process.
 
Prospective students and parents may access the website of SNMPTN to register from anywhere via the Internet. Payment will be made online at all Bank Mandiri networks such as ATM, Internet Banking, SMS Banking, and Bank branches all over Indonesia and thus not necessary to fall in long queue at the payment counter, "he said. Bank Mandiri is committed to assist the development of the education program in Indonesia, including the provision of banking services for the efficiency of  SNMPTN registration.

Earlier, Education Minister, Mr. Muhammad Nuh, stated that admission process with its payment online is one of the ministry efforts to improve efficiency and provide conveniences for all prospective students in the admission process of SNMPTN.

The various admission process to the national universities (PTN) with different admission  fee would reduce the opportunities for prospective students from poor families to get the application forms of universities admission. Through SNMPTN, prospective students will  be able to register to any state university they are  interested in, as well as to select the venue for their written tests. This is part of efforts made by the bank for efficiency and optimization, "said Muhammad Nuh.

 Meanwhile, Chairman of the SNMPTN Committee, Prof. Herry Suhardiyanto, informed that for the 2011 SNMPTN, a total number of  800,000 (eight hundred thousand) prospective students are expected to take the written test, that number is about twice as those of  the total number of SNMPTN 2010, as for the year 2011 about  60 (sixty) percent of new students in all state universities will be admitted through the  SNMPTN system.

Through the cooperation of banking services, all prospective students from various regions in Indonesia will obtain the same opportunity to take the selection process into universities. "We want all prospective students in Indonesia have the same opportunity to get education at state universities and enjoy admission conveniences," said Prof. Herry.

In education, Bank Mandiri has launched a Self Entrepreneurial Program to foster the spirit of entrepreneurship for students to create a new paradigm, from job seekers into job creators.
