Vice Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Anny Ratnawati expressed her personal view about her new job to the new students of  the Faculty of Economics and Management, Bogor Agricultural University (FEM-IPB), in the Orange Program of 2010, an Introductory program to the Faculty, Saturday, (7 / 8) at the Auditorium of Andi Hakim Nasoetion. "Being in charge of the position as Vice Minister is not easy. We must take a great care of the national financial policy," said Dr. Anny. If it goes wrong, it has a big impact on the economic sectors of the people.

Dr. Anny also shared her tips in managing time for the family. "As a woman, I still have to share the time with family. I take every opportunity to talk with my child: making calls or simply sharing. I still want to know the progress of my child who, like you all, are now doing tertiary education, "said Dr. Anny.

Having a mother as state officials, you can not behave like other children who can talk freely and are at all times with his mother. "My daughter understands my time is limited and full of workload, so she sometimes prefers to share feelings with her father about anything, including the reasons for moving to a boarding house. The story is that the boarding house has its ‘penunggunya’ (haunted by a ghost). It turns out that this negative feeling has a positive impact; my child becomes diligent in reciting the Holy Quran and prays a lot the whole night. She says this makes her unafraid and sleep soundly,” told this lecturer of FEM IPB. Of her daughter’s experience, Dr. Anny said that everything negative will eventually have a positive effect if we always think positively.

In educating children, Dr. Anny gives freedom to choose, including the major courses in the university. "Her daughter’s choice is different from her parents’ guidance. But I convinced her if it was indeed her choice, she had to do the best and seriously." (mtd)
