Rector of IPB formally appoints 17 Officials

Rector of IPB, Prof. Dr. Ir Herry Suhardiyanto, M.Sc. formally appointed 17 officials of IPB, Monday (2/8) at the Andi Hakim Nasoetion Building, Darmaga Campus of IPB, Bogor.
 
"I congratulate all appointees for their achievements and dedication to IPB so far. The positions you are now in charge of are entrusted mandates that I asked you all to perform with a full sense of responsibility. I hope you can work hard, with full of devotion and able to work in teams of IPB’s total system," said Rector of IPB in his speech.

Rector of IPB gives the appointees the following messages

Vice Dean of the Faculty of Human Ecology: to assist the Dean in developing FEMA as a leading, popular and ecocentrical educational institution and internationally recognized in the field of social sciences with the core competencies in human ecology that includes the science of communication and community development, family and consumer sciences, as well as community nutrition to support a strong tropical agriculture, sustainable, fair and just management of natural resources as well as prosperous society.

Director of Study Programs in Management and Business: to develop the Programs of Management and Business Studies (MB-IPB) into leading postgraduate studies of international level in management and business and a center of excellence in education, research, consultancy and training in the field of management and business.

"I ask you to prepare all that is needed in the transformation process of MB-IPB into IPB Business School. As a Graduate School, the Business School IPB will then be headed by a Dean, which is appointed according to the Statute of IPB," said Rector.

Director and Vice Director of Educational Veterinary Hospital IPB: Must become the best place to educate and improve the skills of the veterinary students in conducting examination, diagnosis, treatment and care of sick animals; as a training center for "continuing education of various skills and extension services of zoonozis diseases to the public.

“I ask you to make a proposal immediately for the formation of National Zoonosis Center in IPB and work hard to establish it,” said Rector.

Vice Director of Development and Cooperation in Diploma Program: the Diploma Program of IPB as a vocational education institution should continue to adjust to the expectations and desires of the public as the users of IPB graduates in diploma programs. Link and match between the users and the diploma programs is the basis for the implementation of vocational education and the indicator of success in the vocational education.

"I do not want to hear any more that the vocational education at the Diploma Program of IPB is taken only as a stepping stone to continue into a degree program through the degree-transfer programs," Rector said.

Rector expects from the Secretary of the Department that the Department could be one of the spearheads in an effort to increase international publications in terms of both quantity and quality, and thus having the impact factor, citation index, and corpus index that represents an important indicator of a world class university.

Head of IPB Language Training Unit: to develop the Unit as a supporting pillar in the vision of IPB toward World Class University.

Head of IPB Policlinics: to develop the polyclinics as the best, professional, friendly and reliable health care center for all IPB communities

Head of Sport and Art Unit: Able to maintain the achievement of IPB as the Prime Campus of Sport by improving facilities and infrastructure, training athletes (of achieving students) and organizing events to socialize sports to all IPB communities.

Head and Secretary of IPB University Farm: The change of paradigm in the learning process at IPB from Teacher Centered Learning to Student Centered Learning should get a full support from the University Farm

Head of Integrated Laboratory: Able to improve the competence of the laboratory by acquiring an acknowledgment in the form of accreditation from nationally and internationally qualified institutions.

Head of IPB Security Unit: Able to coordinate harmoniously with all units in IPB to raise their participation in building alertness and security in every unit

Heads of Sub-Directorates for Educational Administration, Student Welfare in the Directorate of Student Affairs, Administration and Development of Human Resources: Able to assist the Directors in each task. (mtd)
