IPB and PT.BTN Tbk. Sign Operational Development Cooperation
Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB) and experiences with Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN) Tbk makes cooperation in the field of operational development, clearing and payment of staff’s salaries (payroll system) for IPB Diploma Program. "As the only largest agricultural college in Indonesia, IPB always try to make progress all field. This includes financial management with a modern system by developing banking transactions, thus IPB always keeps up with the current development," said Vice Rector of IPB for Resources and Development, Prof. Dr.Hermanto Siregar accompanied by the Vice Rector of Research and Cooperation IPB, Dr.Ir.Anas Miftah Fauzi, Wednesday (28 / 7) in Darmaga campus of IPB.
This cooperation is also an effort of IPB in practicing good governance, namely transparency. Similar cooperation is also made with banks in the category of state-owned enterprises (BUMN) such as BNI and Bank Mandiri, as well as non state-owned banks. This cooperation is expected to increase the quality of services to the employees of IPB.
In his speech, Head of Commercial Division of Services and Funding PT.BTN, Tbk, Harris Tulisya, accompanied by Head of PT.BTN of Bogor Branch, Viator Simbolon, said that higher educations, particularly state universities are strategic partners in the development of banking business. "BTN always gives special attention to the state and private universities. The forms of cooperation that we have developed are various types depending on needs," said Harris.
Further he described the success of BTN in 2010, which recorded a 100 % profit. "We managed to achieve the marketing targets of 25.14 %. BTN is one of the ten largest Indonesian companies to hold the biggest asset," he added. (mtd)
