Animo to Directorate of Diploma Program of Bogor Agricultural Univesity Increased 12%

Animo of prospective student to be admitted to the vocational education, especially for the Dioploma Program of Bogor Agricultural University  in 2010 increased by approximately 12% from a year ago. This is due to the incessant program of Diploma Program pof Bogor Agricultural University promotion through mass media, participated in the Educational Exhibitions held by high schools, and its venture to conduct it admission tests outside Bogor. As stated by the Deputy Director of Development and Cooperation Program of Directotrate of Diploma Program of Bogor Agricultural Univerisity, Dr. Bagus Priyo Purwanto, M. Agr., (Eighth) in the Diploma Campus IPB, Cilibende, Bogor.

"The number of students Intersted in the diploma has increased by approximately 200 people or about 12%. This year students who applied for admission through the regular channels has reached into  1600 (one thousand six hundred) students  in Bogor, and 300 (three hundred) students from outside Bogor.  However, the number of students who will will be admitted through regular channels will only 500 (five hundred) students . The capacity for both the Invitations and regular admission will only 2000 (two thousand)  seats, "said Dr. Bagus.

In addition to the to the tests that was conducted in Bogor,  this year the Diploma Program, was also carried out oother tests in East Java (Madiun, Bojonegoro, and Pasuruan), Kalimantan (Banjarmasin, and Balikpapan), Sumatra (Padang, and Bandar Lampung), Bali (Denpasar), Central Java (Magelang), and West Javar (Cirebon, Tasikmalaya Purwakarta, and Bogor,)

"We have been increasingly recognized by people. Alumnus of the Diploma Program of Bogor Agricultural University are more easily to find jobs especially in agricultural fields, such as alumus of these Field of Study on Seed Industry, Livestock Management, and Fisheries. Usually, they have found jobs in less than three months waiting time, "Dr. Bagus explained. (Wied).
