Agria Swara of Bogor Agricultural University again Made International Achievement

Student Choir of Bogor Agricultural University  "Agria Swara" has again successfully made international achievement.  The  Agria Swara  won the three awards, two Gold  Medals for  the Mixed Choirs category – Free Program and the Male Choir from “The 1 st ITB International Choir Competition”, held in Bandung,  on 29 July  –  1 August 2010. In addition, the vocal group which is consisted of 50 students won a special award as an Outstanding Program.

"This achievement was made due to the never ending  prayers and the strong support of Rector of Bogor Agricultural University,  the University communties, students’ parents, and all the interested parties. On this occasion,  Yuliana, the Presidium of the  Agria Swara expressed her sincere thanks and  ackowledeged for all the supports and  prayers.

Yuli hopes, that the  Agria Swara  continues to make such  achievement in the natioal and international choir competition or festivals.

Grand Champion with a prize amounted to  US$  5,00 0.00 (five thousand US Dollars) was awarded to the choir group of the  Philippines,  which  got  the highest score. Arvin Zeinullah, conductor of Agria Swara Student Choir Group, explained that  the group of the  Philippines was well-prepared.  "I must conffes  that the Philipinnes’ group has a has a better singing techniques compared to the Indonesia groups," he said.(Wied)
