Mandate
The development of silviculture science and technology to maintain natural forest as well as to develop and maintain forest plantation.
Center of Excellence
Capable of applying the science and technology of silviculture to maintain natural forest and forest plantation, including rehabilitation of ex-mining-land and control of forest and land fire to support environmentally-sound and sustainable development.

Inhutani, PT. Musi Hutan Persada, PT. Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper and PT. ASTRA (regular selection for their employees have often been conducted at the Faculty), forest establishment on the land of PT. Toyota motor Manufacturing Indonesia and PT. Nestle Indonesia.
