Mandate
The development of agricultural engineering sciences and its application.
Center of Excellence
The pioneering of agricultural engineering higher education programs in Indonesia. The Department has strengths in seven areas of expertise i.e. Agricultural Machinery Engineering, Land and Irrigation Engineering, System and Management of Agricultural Mechanization, Food and Agricultural Products Processing Engineering, Agricultural Energy and Electrification, Agricultural Environment and Buildings, Agricultural Ergonomics and Electronics.
Facilities
Modern classrooms equipped with audiovisual aids and internet connection, library and specialist laboratories with modern equipment i.e. computing, engineering drawing, surveillance and mapping, soil physics and mechanics, hydraulics and hydromechanics, farm machinery, energy and electrification for agriculture, post-harvest food processing, farm structures, ergonomics and electronics, pilot plants, experimental farm, greenhouse, workshop, and a business unit for production and an industrial machinery services unit.
Institutional Collaboration
Collaboration with state and private institutions/industries in terms of education and research development. Collaboration with seven Japanese Higher Education Institutions in terms of research activities and lecturer and student exchange programs.
