Zakiyah Salsabila Syafhil
Student of Management Department
Zakiyah is chosen as Indonesian delegate in World Federation of United Nation Associations International Model United Nations (WIMUN) 2019 held in New York, USA. In that occasion, Zakiyah discussed the matter of Terrorism Eradication.
Zakiyah is the only Indonesian delegate in that prestigious event. WIMUN is a simulation of United Nations (UN) meetings where participants can feel the atmosphere of being in a real UN meeting.
Zakiyah was chosen as one of 1200 delegates from 2000 applicants worldwide from 50 countries. She also had the opportunity to present her views regarding measures to combat terrorism in the Sixth Committee General Assembly as well as practicing her debating prowess in political group session.
Not only in international scale, Zakiyah’s achievements also encompass those in national scale, including in the 32nd National Student Scientific Week (Pimnas), through Young Cassavapreneurs Indonesia program, Zakiyah was one of the participants in a ten-week entrepreneurship training program. Zakiyah utilized cassavas to develop entrepreneurial spirit of high school students. Zakiyah is also one of 150 of XL Future Leader program batch 6 awardee. The program is a leadership training in effective communication, entrepreneurial innovations, and management of changes which last for two years.
Sanhaji
Student of Agriculture Technology and Biosystem Department
Sanhaji contributed to IPB University’s success in achieving the second place in the 32nd National Student Scientific Week (PIMNAS). In that most prestigious national-level event, he contributed two gold medals, one from presentation category and the other is from the poster category of the Technology Creativity Student Program (PKM-T) branch.
A student of Mechanical Engineering and Biosystem Department, Faculty of Agriculture Technology IPB University, he had previously participated in a scientific paper competition (LKTI), Invention of Mechanical Engineering Venture (I-MEV) 8th Competition. Along with his colleagues, he designed a sulfur-lifting machine based on potential energy with gyroscope sensor, named Stm01. The design brought them the First Prize in said competition.
He is also listed as 2019 Tri-U delegation in Jiangsu University, China. He also participated in 2019 National Student Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an, and got the Second Place for Al-Quran Scientific Paper category.
Suci Hermita
Biochemistry Study Program Students
This Padang blooded girl from the first level of college actively participated in various organizations and competitions in the academic field. Suci had been a Summer Research Program delegate in the field of Biomedicine in 2018 at Tsukuba University, Ibaraki, Japan. Not long after, Suci was chosen to be the Delegation of the Asia Youth International Model United Nations (MUN), an event for young people to study diplomacy in Bangkok, Thailand.
In the same year, Suci returned to Japan in order to become a delegation from the International Youth Innovators Summit in Tokyo. He also had the opportunity to become a delegation of IPB to participate in the Asia Pacific Agriculture (APASS) and Asia Pacific Agriculture Undergraduate Project Competition at the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology in Taiwan in 2018.
Suci also won several competitions at the national level, some of them won 1st place in the 2017 Indonesian Agricultural Student Scientific Week (PIMPI) held by Riau State Islamic University.
Mella Sarah Elmania
Student of Aquatic Product Technology Study Program
Mella has participated in the 2019 Global Korea Scholarship for ASEAN countries Science in Engineering organized by the National Institute for International Education, Ministry of Education of South Korea, with a main focus in the field of Maritime Affairs and Navigation at the Mokpo National Maritime University.
In 2018, Mella became one of the recipients of the JASSO SUIJI SLP (Six-University Initiative Japan Indonesia Service Learning Program) Scholarship at Kochi University. This activity is a volunteerism activity in rural areas of Japan and Indonesia.
Mella was also chosen to be a representative of the Indonesia Green Action Forum (IGAF) at the 2017 Korea International Water Week for Technology, Implementation, Policy Platforms held by the Korea Water Forum. Aside from actively participating in various international activities, Mella is also active at the national level, one of them being successfully awarded as one of the Archipelago Activist Scholarship Beneficiaries.
Saeful Ramadhan
Student of Computer Science Department
His love of programming and data mining and analysis had made Saeful enthusiastic in participating in competitions conducted by various companies and universities. Several achievements have been made by him. Saeful successfully secured the Best Participant award in Compfest X Data Science Academy and the First Place in 2018 Tokopedia Devcamp.
He was also the finalist of International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC), an interuniversity programming competition held by 2018 Asia Singapore Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
The achievements he made are not without any obstacle. Saeful often face failures over failures, but his enthusiasm stopped him from giving up.
Lastly, Saeful managed to attain the First Place in Data Mining Competition in a prestigious event ‘The 11th Pagelaran Mahasiswa Nasional in Information Technology and Communication (Gemastik)’, held in Sepuluh November Technological Institute (ITS) in 2018.
